About the course
Birth preparation course using the 'Simply give birth - hypnobirthing' method - consists of a series of five weekly sessions of three hours each session. You are welcome to come with your birth attendant. The course is informative and experiential, during which you will learn and practice special techniques that will help your birth to be easier. In addition, you will acquire a lot of practical knowledge and tips for the period of pregnancy and childbirth. You will be given the opportunity to go through a fun process of bringing self-awareness to your body and mind, you will discover how much they are influenced by each other, and how much they can contribute and support a gentle birth when you learn to let them go. You and your birth attendant will gain knowledge and develop communication skills with each other, with your baby, and with the medical staff.

Payment arrangement
The registration fee is a deposit for keeping your place in the group. The balance of the payment must be paid before the start of the course, the payment for the balance is arranged with your course instructor.
What else is included in the course?
Besides the series of five sessions of the course, you will receive study materials that will help you preserve and maintain the practice of simply giving birth - hypnobirthing. These materials include: Marie Mongan's book - 'Hypnobirthing', four audio files for guided imagination and positive affirmations, among them the well-known and loved worldwide 'relaxation of the rainbow' and a booklet full of exercises and information to support your practice.
Additional details
Course takes place in person at Mercaz Edna near Noga and Yafo in Tel Aviv, with an option to attend by zoom live. Free bonus lesson on zoom happens once a month about after the birth, early parenting and breastfeeding.

FAQ
Is the price of the course per couple?
The price of the course is for you and your birth partner (spouse or the attendant that you choose to invite).
Should my partner attend the course with me?
We recommend inviting them to join you If possible. It is very useful for the person who will be with you at your birth to know your plans regarding the birth, and acquire knowledge that will help him/her to be a meaningful birth partner.
Is it necessary to pay separately for my husband?
No
When should I begin the course?
We recommend starting the course between week 22-32, but this is only a recommendation.
Is there an online book?
Not currently. The Hebrew book is available in a print edition. The English book is available in print or on “Audible”.
Does the course content also cover similar info to what I would get in a hospital or “kupat holim” course?
Yes, the course includes physiological info, plus a broad range of other information and exercises. To view the curriculum click here.
What about refunds?
You can read about the refund policies of different insurance companies “kupot holim” here (please note that we are not responsible for refunds from your insurance). If you have private medical insurance, you should ask about their refund policy regarding childbirth preparation courses. Most companies allow a refund for attending our course. It is recommended to verify the reimbursement amount with your health insurance.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
You will be able to make up the lesson with another group, without additional payment.
Is the course relevant for me if I want to take an epidural?
Definitely. You can only get an epidural from an opening (dilation) of four centimeters, so the tools from the course will help you begin your labor calmly. In addition, we will give important tips in the course for how to keep you and your baby healthy and your birth properly progressing with an epidural.
If after I take the course I feel like I need to refresh the material, who do I contact?
You can always contact your instructor, even after the course is over. If you want to attend a lesson again free of charge, you have the option. In addition, at the beginning of the course you will receive a book, a booklet and 4 audio tracks. You will be able to read the material again and again and practice with the help of the audio tracks throughout your pregnancy.
Is it possible to take the course in other languages?
Yes, we currently have groups in Hebrew, English and French and as well as teachers who are fluent in Arabic, Russian and Spanish.
What is the price of the course?
The cost ranges from 1300-1550 shekels. The price of the course includes all course materials: the book "HypnoBirthing - The Mongan Method", 4 audio tracks for practice and the course workbook.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your registration up to 30 days before the start of the course and receive a full refund, (with the exception of a 30 shekel cancellation fee). For cancellations between 15-30 days till start of course there is a 50% refund. From 15 days before the start of the course date until the course date, there is no refund.
